Awards awaiting distribution

The Awards Banquet is a night dedicated to those students who have participated in extra-curricular programs at The Family Foundation School. It represents all the joys and struggles that went into student performances throughout the previous year. Certificates to honor student accomplishments in both the arts and athletics are distributed while students and staff enjoy a specially prepared dinner. During this meal slide shows of memorable moments in each activity are displayed in the gym.

Drama, chorus, debate (forensics), dance and show choir participants, along with our interscholastic team members in soccer, basketball, cheerleading, golf and softball will all be recognized. This wide variety of options is one of the hallmarks of our therapeutic boarding school, which incorporates the activities students are familiar with from their schools of origin into the therapeutic milieu.

After everyone is acknowledged for their accomplishments, as one student recalled from last year’s dinner, “we end the evening with an amazing dessert.”
